Our CAT/GRIZ food drive was a success! As a school we collected 1,447 items for the local food bank. Thank you for your contribution, the community will benefit greatly! It was a close call, but the CATS won the food drive by 19 items. -- Thank you again, JHS Rachel's Challenge!!
Noah Grewell, a member of the Joliet FFA chapter in Joliet, MT, was on stage and in the spotlight Oct. 28-31 during the 2015 National FFA Convention & Expo in Louisville, Ky. Grewell, a junior and the son of Ricky and Tammy Grewell, was selected to the National FFA Chorus. The National FFA Chorus performed several times during the 2015 National FFA Convention & Expo, adding excitement and motivation to the sessions through their music. Grewell joined fellow chorus members in Louisville three days before convention began for rehearsals. The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 610,240 student members in grades seven through 12 who belong to one of 7,665 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Joliet High School has once again (also won in 2012-13) achieved a championship in the Academic Excellence Award Program sponsored by NorthWestern Energy for the 2014-15 school year. This is one of the most prestigious awards the MHSA sponsors. The award was presented January 8, 2016 between the girls and boys varsity games! Area public and students who attended high school last year were encouraged and welcome to attend.
