Description

Bus drivers are Sam, Diann, Rod... buses leave at 8:45am-12pm
The Columbus FFA is sponsoring a motivational speaker at an assembly on Feb 19th at 9:45 to 11:30 am. Joliet high school students grades 9-12 will attend.

The speaker is Andrew McPeak from GrowingLeaders.com Co Author of a book Marching off the Map. Basically what he presented was stats and results of surveys/analysis of "what the current generation is like". He talks about how this generation needs to be led in relation to how they think etc. I asked him if he would be able to tweak it a bit and present not only what they are like, but how that relates to them. What do they need to realize about themselves, what do they need to work on, what do they need to understand about the generation before them (their leaders/bosses) so they can perform.

As we well know, changing how a person thinks changes how they act. If we can help these students to understand themselves and their thought/perception patterns about responsibility, time management, work ethic, communication skills etc. we can shape their future to one that will be much more successful.
