Lucy Jensen was born in Cody Wyoming and graduated from Cody High School. She received her BA from Rocky Mountain College in Billings and received her Masters Degree from Lesley College in Boston Massachusetts. Her love for children in science led her to holding the State Elementary Science President seat for over 10 years, being a teacher consultant for a children's science website and a student science magazine. She has taught second and third grade self contained classrooms and fourth grade science in Joliet. Lucy is an active member of this community and has served two terms on the County Library Board,and helped implement the recycling container for the town. She has been a Girl Scout leader for all ages and coached Odyssey of the Mind for 15 years. Lucy is a proud member of the Joliet Lions Club and director of the community adult playgroup "The Free Range Banana and Mining Company." She is honored to now be teaching second generation students. Lucy is a avid learner, laugher, and education advocate.
