Allow me to introduce myself:
Allison Evertz studied in Costa Rica, did her student teaching in New Zealand, and then began her career on an American Indian Reservation. From there, she taught in Red Lodge, Bozeman, and Torreon, Mexico. After returning to The States, she moved to Sandpoint, Idaho and taught in therapeutic boarding schools for seven years, namely The Monarch School in Heron, Montana, and Northwest Academy in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. She moved to Joliet with her husband and two children in 2011 when she started teaching Spanish to the kindergartners. Eventually, she moved into a full-time position as one of two high school English teachers in Joliet High School. Mrs.Evertz attained her Masters Degree of Educational Leadership in 2001 from Montana State University, and has since worked in leadership capacities at Chief Joseph Middle School in Bozeman and The Monarch School in Heron. Though she originally hails from Traverse City, Michigan, she has been west since 1991, and plans on sticking around, “I may be a transplant, but my heart and soul is in Carbon County.”
